BAKE SALE UPDATE – Thank you to ALL that helped with the Sunday School Bake Sale last weekend. Whether you donated baked items or purchased goodies the day of…our sale would not have been as successful without all of you. We raised $330.50 that will benefit our Sunday School activities. DIVINE DOLLARS – Just a reminder that our Divine Dollars gift card program will be ending on 12/31/25. We are selling all cards currently in our inventory and all proceeds will go to the Scholarship Fund. Grab an order form from the Gathering Desk or from the "More for Announcements" attachment …complete it and place in the mailbox by the office, along with payment (cash or check). FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEER DAY - Trinity helps at Restoration Ministries! Our Sunday School group will be going to Restoration Ministries to volunteer at their food pantry BUT everyone at Trinity is invited! My name has been on the prayer list for some time so I thought I would give you an update on my situation. In December of last year, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. After months of treatment, I am now cancer free. Praise the Lord! I am still facing one more surgery on Thursday to correct a problem in my digestive system related to the treatment. This one will not be as extensive as the first surgery. After that, hopefully, I will be as back to normal as possible.
Words cannot express the thanks I have for all the support I have gotten from my family, church family and friends. The prayers, cards, and well-wishes were very helpful as I continued down the path to recovery.
A special thanks goes to my loving wife Leslie. Without her help I would not be where I am today. Taking me to doctor appointments, to the hospital for tests, traveling to the hospital every day for the 10 days I was in the hospital (at least an hour drive, one way), fixing meals, the list goes on. So, thank you, Leslie for all that you did and continue to do. Being a care giver is harder than being the patient!
To all of you that have supported me and my family during this time thanks again and may God bless you all.
FOURTH QUARTER MISSION OPPORTUNITIES The Fourth Quarter Missions theme is "Feeding/Caring." From October-December you will have the opportunity to make monetary contributions to ELCA World Hunger and Beds+ Please use “Special Offering” envelopes and designate the specific mission.OR CLICK HERE to give online. Click “FUND” and then “MISSIONS” and select the one you'd like to support.
During the month of October we will also sponsor a food collection for unexpired non-perishable food items for Pilgrim Faith Church Food Pantry. Please see below for the specefic items needed.
In November the Women of the Church will sponsor the ELCA Thank offering and Bethshan Christmas gifts - more info to come later. Thank you for your continued support!
PILGRIM CHURCH FOOD PANTRY WISH LIST
Matthew 25:35 states “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave medrink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” As a way of living out this message our October mission project will be to collect food items that provide nourishment for people who do nothave a way to cook or store food. Please help our neighbors who are in need by bringing items from the following list to the Gathering Place.

Trinity received news this week that former member, Nancy Justus Stevens passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Nancy’s funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 24th at 11am, here at Trinity. Please keep Nancy’s family and friends, especially her daughter Jessica, in your thoughts and prayers.
