DON’T FORGET TO TURN YOUR CLOCKS BACK …DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS THIS WEEEKEND!! FALL BACK NOVEMBER 3rd AT 2:00am!
WE WORSHIP TOGETHER
Worship Times: Saturday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 10:30 am
This Week’s Bible Readings: 1 Kings 17:1-16, Psalm 119:57-64, Luke 4:24-26
This Weekend: All Saints Sunday
Join us for worship… This Sunday we will hear about the prophet Elijah and we will remember All Saints. First, we will hear the story of Elijah at a time when he is cast out and alone. He must trust God to send ravens with bread and meat each day. Then God sends Elijah away from his country, where a widow will care for him. She shares her last bit of meal and oil to feed him and places her trust in Elijah's God to care for her and her son. Trust may be a hard thing for us because trust requires us to release our perception that we are in control.
Also, this weekend during worship we will pause to honor all of the saints who have died this past year as well as all the saints who have been a blessing in our lives. We will read their names and light a candle in their remembrance.

Accepting donations this week for our MISSION of the MONTH- The November Mission of the Month is Bethshan . You can give to The Mission of the Month online or by using the envelopes in the pews
ELCA THANKOFFERING- Beginning in the late 19th century, Lutheran women were given small Thankoffering boxes to place in a special location in their homes as a visible reminder of blessings received. Women would add coins to those boxes almost daily as particular blessings were noted. From this practice came the idea of an annual church service to celebrate the women coming together in service. Throughout the month of November, the Women of the Church will be collecting our Thankoffering to show gratitude for God's blessings and give us a tangible way to express our thanks. To participate, please use the purple edged envelopes in the pews marked "ELCA Thankoffering" and place it in the collection plate at the Offertory on Sundays. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Women of the Church Board
ELECTION DAY is Tuesday, November 5th. Voting hours are from 6:00am to 7:00pm.
Heavenly Father, we ask you today to be with us and our country now as you have been since our first days as a nation. Help us to listen less to harsh rhetoric and more to the Holy Spirit. Help us to feel how Your Spirit will guide us, no matter the election’s outcome. We pray for peace, love and hope, in Your name. Amen.
NEED TO KNOW
BETHSHAN CHRISTMAS PROJECT- Women of the Church are collecting gifts for the Bethshan House. The gifts are labeled on tags on the table in the gathering area. Take a tag along with the wrapping directions and sign the sheet so we know who took what gift. Please return the gifts back to Trinity by Sunday, Nov 24th . We appreciate all the assistance with this mission --Women of Church
CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP – Christian Fellowship Committee (formally known as Koinonia) will not meet on November 5th. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 3rd.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – COUNCIL ELECTIONS- Per our Constitution, Council elections must be held in October or November every year. The 2025 Council elections will be held the weekend of November 16- 17, 2024 at both services. This year’s nominees are Amy Enderle, Larry Reich and Bill Waterstraat.
BECAUSE OF GOD'S GREAT MERCY - “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people” – I Peter 2:9
God’s mercy comes to you in countless ways. Our Lord Jesus is chief among these. It is through the love and forgiveness that is ours in our Lord Jesus that we can boldly claim to be God’s own people – not because of what we have done, but because of what God has done for us through his only Son. God’s mercy also comes to you in many other ways. Among these are the material possessions you enjoy. They are gifts from God, but more than this, they are entrusted to you by God. The Bible teaches us that everything belongs to God. To be a steward is to be entrusted to care for some of what God owns in this world. That steward is you, entrusted to care for all that God has placed in your hands. Because of God’s great mercy, we marvel at all we have received. Because of God’s great mercy, we think about how we will respond.
* The stewardship program letter for our congregation that was shared last week can still be found in the attachment. The letter is also included in this weekend's printed announcements.
