GIVING STATEMENTS- Second quarter giving statements (4.1.25-6.30.25) were emailed this past week. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact the office.
BUILDING UPDATES – Great news…the construction and remodeling of the two bathrooms near the church office is finished. Be sure to check them out! Also the Library door key fob reader has been fixed as well. If you do experience a problem with any of the key fob readers, we ask you let the office know. Thank you!
WITH SYMPATHY AND PRAYER
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our sister in Christ, Ruth Dahl passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Arrangements will be announced once available. Special prayers for her children - David, Gary and Karen and their families, along with other relatives, many friends and her wonderful caregivers. Blessed be her memory to everyone's hearts.
Condolences also to Nancy Russow on the recent passing of her husband Kenneth on July 6, 2025. Visitation is Saturday July 12, 2025 beginning at 9:00am until the time of Chapel service at 1:00pm at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S Wolf Rd, Mokena. Please keep the the Russow family in your prayers during this time of grief.
MISSIONS FOR JULY, AUGUST & SEPTEMBER 2025
The third quarter missions emphasis will be EDUCATION. The following missions/funds will be available for your generous contributions: SCHOLARSHIPS, COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES anD CHRISTIAN EDUCATION which includes SUNDAY SCHOOL, CONFIRMATION RETREAT and ADULT EDUCATION.
Please use “Special Offering” envelopes and designate the specific mission.OR CLICK HERE to give online. Click “FUND” and then “MISSIONS” and select the mission you'd like to support. You are invited to donate to as many as you wish between July 1 and September 30. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity.
This week we learn about:
COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES - Once a year, care packages are sent to our college students. The packages include snacks, tissues, gift cards, and school supplies donated by Trinity members. The Confirmation students pack the boxes and the Sunday School students make encouraging cards to include with the package. Donations will help pay the shipping costs and also purchase any needed items not donated.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS - Each year, through the generous donations of Trinity's members, we are able to provide each active Trinity college student a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded in different amounts, for community college students, 4 year university students, Lutheran university students and seminary students. Donations during the 3rd quarter will help to continue this special program.
DONATE YOUR EYEGLASSES
LIONS RECYCLE FOR SIGHT - Lions help to conserve sight by providing usable eyeglasses to children and adults throughout the world. Please donate your used glasses, including sunglasses and reading glasses, in support of this project. A box to collect the used eyeglasses is located on the table in the Gathering Place next to the Confirmation pictures. Donated eyeglasses will be forwarded to a Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center.
