WE WORSHIP TOGETHER

Worship Times:   Saturday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 10:30 am

This Week’s Bible Readings: 1 Samuel 1:9-11, 19-20; 2:1-10, Psalm 119:41-48, Mark 13:1-8

This Weekend: “God Answers Hannah”

Join us for worship… This week’s story is a treasure. It is part of the underplanking that defines society, culture, and community because at the heart of all strife there is news of a meeting place and the promise of help on the way. God who answers prayer, We are blessed & humbled that you hear us when we call to you in our time of deepest longing. Receive our gratitude for your listening ear. Amen.

There will also be a time, in the prayers, when each of our loved ones who have died will be remembered by name.

TRINITY TO PARTNER WITH LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES IN NOVEMBER TO SERVE LOCAL FAMILIES

Who is Lutheran Social Services of Illinois?

LSSI Overview:  According to the Gospel, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois works every day to bring healing, justice, and wholeness to people and communities through programs and services across the state.

Here is a snapshot of LSSI’s Impact Study:

50,291 children, adults, seniors, and families were served; one in every 252 people in Illinois. 50% of children served were ages 10-14; 19% people served were 25-34. By annual income, 71% of people were below $5,000; 91% below the poverty threshold, $25,000.

One of the programs that LSSI supports is Intact Family Services, who will be the beneficiaries of our serving project in November.  Intact Family Services (IFS) is a program that supports and strengthens families while also monitoring safety and well-being of all minors in the home.

Watch for more details about our partnership and serving project with LSSI next week along with how to participate in November.
