Join Us for Worship… Following the death of Jesus, two of his disciples who do not know of his resurrection, travel to Emmaus wondering "now what?" Jesus reveals himself to them and opens their eyes and hearts to the truth of what might be next. Dear God, When we are lost or confused, open our eyes to recognize your presence in our midst. Fill us with joy in the knowledge that you share our place no matter what we are experiencing. Amen.

A NOTE FROM NICOLE GOODFELLOW…
Dear Congregation,
A decision has been made by the council to end the position of Youth Director here at Trinity, so they and our future new pastor can decide together what the role of Director of Youth Ministries should look like. The last event that I will celebrate together with you is Confirmation Sunday. Serving the youth and families of our church has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I am deeply grateful for the relationships built, the spiritual growth I have witnessed, and the opportunity to walk alongside our students as they explore and grow in their faith. This ministry has shaped me both personally and professionally, and I will always treasure my time here. Thank you for trusting me with your most precious gifts, I am ever so grateful for the time I have shared with you and your children.

Each week we will each highlight a mission listed above and this week we learn about: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Trinity Lutheran Church is a cherished tradition with deep roots, dating back to the days of forest preserve programs remembered fondly by Diane Thompson. Though it paused for a time, VBS was brought back to life in the early 1980s by devoted mom and church member Cathy Cepican, along with Karen Rascher. Together, they shaped the joyful, faith-filled week we know and love today.
This summer, we’re ready to kick off another unforgettable week filled with songs of praise, exciting games, creative crafts, lasting friendships, and powerful lessons centered on God’s love. VBS runs June 9-13 from 9-11:30AM, and we can’t wait to welcome children and families to join the celebration! Help us make this year’s VBS truly extraordinary by spreading the word, inviting friends, volunteering, or making a DONATION, by marking an envelope in your church pew "VBS!"

DONATE YOUR EYEGLASSES – Lions help to conserve sight by providing usable eyeglasses to children and adults throughout the world. Please donate your used glasses, including sunglasses and reading glasses, in support of this project. A box to collect the used eyeglasses is located on the table in the Gathering Place next to the Confirmation pictures. Donated eyeglasses will be forwarded to a Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center.
