WE WORSHIP TOGETHER

Worship Time: Sunday at 10:30am đŸ˜Š PLEASE WEAR YOUR NAME TAG😊

This Weekend’s Readings: Luke 19:29-40, Isaiah 50:4-9, Psalm 31:9-16, Luke 23:1-49

This Weekend: PALM PASSION SUNDAY everything [in]between shouting silence

Join Us for Worship… Jesus doesn’t instigate his own parade. Instead, just his quiet presence alone inspires the multitude to shout out and praise God. When the religious leaders try to silence the crowd, Jesus tells them that the noise level isn’t the point—even the stones would cry out if they were silent. It takes wisdom to know when our voice is needed and when it’s just noise. We will then turn from celebration to the reading of the passion narrative.

Please consider joining us on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. In his final hours, Jesus redefines power through acts of humility, including sharing a final meal with his closest friends and those who will soon betray him. After breaking bread, the disciples argue about who is the greatest, but Jesus tells them that the greatest must be the least and the leader must be the servant, turning their hierarchy on its head. According to Jesus, humility is powerful, and real power is shown through humility, giving us a new commandment to love one another. Holy Communion will be served and in our sending we will strip the altar as we prepare our hearts for the next part of the passion story. Join us on Good Friday as we lean into the silence and ponder Jesus' death. The service interweaves Taize music, scripture, reflection at the cross and something to carry home to remember.

INTERIM NEWS

Dear Trinity Congregation,

Grace and peace be with you!

As many of you know, my last Sunday with you as pastor will be May 4. In our 15 months together, you have shown me your heart; your faithfulness and resilience.

As promised, here is an update on our ministry, leadership, and next steps as I take leave:

Staff: President Gene Mondello, Kurt Staehlin, and I have met individually with the staff to set clear goals for the coming months. Staff will continue to work with Gene and Kurt for any support or questions that arise.

Worship: The Worship Committee will maintain its vital role in supporting our worship services. We are still waiting for word on who will be assigned to Trinity as the Bridge Interim pastor. This pastor will work alongside the Worship Committee to plan & guide worship, preach and preside on Sundays as well as provide pastoral care as needed.

Call Committee: The committee has set a goal to present the first draft of our church profile to Church Council by their May meeting for approval. Once approved, it will be submitted to the Synod for review before “going live,” meaning that our paperwork is ready for potential pastoral candidates to view and prayerfully being a candidate for pastor at Trinity.

Prayers and Pastoral Needs: Please send any prayer requests or pastoral needs to the church office, and Jan will ensure they are directed to the appropriate person.

Trinity, you have made great strides during this interim period. Your finances are stronger, the church building is solid, and there is a strategic plan in place for our leadership. This plan includes strengthening both your ministries and ongoing building projects.

It has been a privilege to serve alongside you. As you search for your next pastor, I am confident that the Holy Spirit will guide you in this process; reminding you of who you are and whose you are.

I’m rooting for you every step of the way!

In Christ’s peace,
Pastor Charisse
