TRINITY GOLF OUTING
The 18th Annual Trinity Golf Outing was scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025. Operating a golf outing requires a certain level of participation to be successful, and for the first time in all those 18 years, the number of golfers who registered to participate this year was well below the minimum required amount. Therefore, the golf committee made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s outing. For your information, based on the generosity of the golfers who did register, who did not seek a refund, and even after the payment of the cancellation fee to the golf course, the church still made a small profit.
The golf committee wishes to thank Trinity Lutheran Church for your support for the golf outing. While the golf outing has always been a lot of fun, the golf outing was primarily a fund raiser for the church. Through the 18 years of operation, the golf committee has donated $121,908 in net profits to the church. Thank you again for your support for the Trinity Golf Outing. ~Trinity Golf Committee by Jim Scheibel
CALL COMMITTEE UPDATES
The following update was shared with the congregation at the service on Sunday, September 7.
We need a pastor. We all know that. When the call committee started out, we were told, “This is a holy process,” and we believe that. It is rooted in the church, guided by the Holy Spirit, bathed in prayer. That’s the holy part. But there’s also the process part. It takes time, and it’s going to take more time.
We have carefully gone through the discernment process with our first three candidates, and unfortunately none of them will be our next pastor. So we are now back to waiting for a new slate of candidates. It’s going to take more time.
Thank you for your patience, your trust, and your prayers. Thank you to each person who is keeping the good work of the church going, living the love of Christ. Please keep praying, and keep showing up in worship and fellowship, as we continue to wait for God to provide us with our next pastor. Thank you.
~ Jeff Allen, Paul Enderle, Amy Luckett, Mark Peters, Jim Scheibel, Jan Wenski
