LENT WORSHIP AT TRINITY

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES: February 18, 2026, 10:00am Service with Sacrificial Breakfast OR 6:00pm Supper (Vegetable Soup served by Women of the Church) and 7:00pm Service.

Both services will include imposition of ashes & Holy Communion.

CALL COMMITTEE HIGHLIGHTS

On February 10, 2026, Trinity Council voted and majority ruled to extend a call to Pastor Jeanie Reardon after the recommendation from the Call Committee. Pr. Jeanie has accepted the call. The Call Committee would like to thank the congregation for their prayers and support. We are excited for the congregation to meet and get to know Pastor Jeanie.

Please join us:

• February 22 - Meet and Greet with Pr. Jeanie (after the service)

• March 1 - Pr. Jeanie will preach; and then the congregation will vote on calling her at a special congregational meeting immediately after worship.

Members of the committee include: Jeff Allen, Paul Enderle, Amy Luckett, Mark Peters, Jim Scheibel and Jan Wenski. We are extremely grateful to all members of the Call Committee for their hard work. The members of the committee would also like to extend their thanks to Mark for his leadership during the process.  For more information, please read the Pastoral Call Announcement letter below. The letter was emailed to members of the the congregation on February 12th and it is also attached to this email.

Dear Trinity Family,

On Tuesday, February 10, the Council voted and majority ruled to extend a call to Pastor Jeanie Reardon as Trinity’s next Minister of Word and Sacrament. This call comes at the recommendation of the call committee (Jeff Allen, Paul Enderle, Amy Luckett, Mark Peters, Jim Scheibel, Jan Wenski), which has been working diligently on the call process throughout the past year.

We are grateful for all who supported this process through your prayers and encouragement and very thankful that God has brought Pr. Jeanie to our congregation.

Please plan to attend the following Sundays:

• February 22, meet and greet reception with Pr. Jeanie immediately following the 10:30 a.m. worship service

• March 1, Pr. Jeanie will preach during the 10:30 a.m. service

• March 1, special congregational meeting to vote on calling Pr. Jeanie immediately following worship

Pastor Jeanie comes to us with energy and creativity, with a vision for mission and outreach, and with a focus on love for God and neighbor. She is passionate about proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her actions and words and about embodying Trinity’s mission to “live the love of Christ.”

Pr. Jeanie has experience as a parish pastor, a hospital chaplain, and a chaplain supervisor and educator. She holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. She grew up in rural Illinois and has a long history in the Chicagoland area. Pr. Jeanie currently lives with her wife and son in Berwyn, IL. She is passionate about connecting with people both in and beyond the congregation.

We are excited to anticipate her ministry among us for years to come.

As excited as we are, please note the following guidelines from Synod regarding sharing this information: “The Call Committee should ensure the announcement is not posted in any manner on the Internet. Members of the congregation should be urged not to enter any information about the nomination on social media. This interferes both with the work that the candidate is currently engaged in, as well as subverts the process. Only after a positive vote is received AND the candidate formally accepts the call can the information be shared on social media.”
