IT’S NAME TAG TIME AGAIN! We’re excited to welcome Pastor Leland Albright to Trinity! To help him get acquainted with everyone, let’s start wearing our name tags again. Check out the Name Tag Board in the narthex by the main entrance. If you don’t see yours, just jot your name on the clipboard so a new one can be printed if needed.
ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING - As a Christian tradition, we will light the candles of the Advent wreath at the beginning of worship. One candle is lit each Sunday. This weekwe thank the McNaughton/Smith Family for lighting candles one, two and three.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
SUNDAY SCHOOL & CONFIRMATION -Meet on Sundays from 9:30am-10:15am.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - A KING IS BORN - We are looking forward to seeing our Sunday School students and teachers perform in our Christmas Program this Sunday, the 14th during 10:30 worship. You don't want to miss it! Following the service, everyone is invited to the for cookies and milk, and perhaps even a surprise visit from a special holiday guest!

12/16 - TRINITY LADIES CHRISTMAS GATHERING – Cathy and Linda invite you to their home (13762 Steeples Road in Lemont) to celebrate the season on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:30pm. Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. All ladies of Trinity are welcome! A carpool can be coordinated for those that would like to drive together. NEED TO KNOW
SCHOLARSHIPS- Trinity is offering scholarships to our members who are attending a college or university for the 2025/2026 school year. Scholarships are awarded to full-time students who are active members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Applications have been emailed to previous scholarship recipients and recent high school graduates. If you have not received an email, please reach out to the office for the application.
PLEASE NOTE, THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 15th. Scholarship Sunday will be held December 28, 2025 at the 10:30am worship service and the recipients are asked to participate in worship that day.

BLUE CHRISTMAS - Sunday, December 21, 2025 @ 6:30PM
On December 21, the shortest day of the year, a Blue Christmas service will be held at Trinity Lutheran at 6:30pm. The main emotion for many people in the Christmas season is not joy or peace but rather sadness—whether it is due to the impending death of a loved one or to the death of a loved one in the past. The service gives opportunities to remember together, to grieve together, and to remember together the hope Jesus brought.
And please join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior ...ALL are welcome!

FOURTH QUARTER MISSION OPPORTUNITIES
The Fourth Quarter Missions theme is "Feeding/Caring." From now through the end of December you will have the opportunity to make monetary contributions to ELCA World Hunger and Beds+ Please use “Special Offering” envelopes and designate the specific mission OR CLICK HERE to give online. Click “FUND” and then “MISSIONS” and "SUB FUND" and then select the one you'd like to support. You can also use THIS LINK to make special donations specifically for Advent and Christmas as well.
DAILY PRAYER FOR TRINITY - The worship committee once again thanks Mickey Von Asten for writing prayers for the Trinity community as we work and pray toward calling a new pastor. We encourage you to pray these prayers daily, either individually or as a family. The prayers can be found on the last page of the "More for Announcements" attachment and in the printed announcements available in church on Sunday.
